ATG's Playwrights Circle

We are seeking to cast three roles, each an historical character.

Count Harry Kessler: an aesthete, and bon-vivant who knew all the prominent artists and celebrities of his era and whose homosexuality and love of modern art kept him from the diplomatic post he had long sought. After serving as an officer in the German Army, his support of worker councils in 1919 earned him the sobriquet the Red Count. He is 65 years old.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer: the Lutheran pastor and theologian who was banned from his own church because of his opposition to the Nazis. He became involved in a plot to kill Hitler which led to his death by hanging in a Nazi prison, April, 1945. He is 27 years old.

Marie Luise von Hammerstein: a Communist spy and the daughter of Baron Kurt von Hammerstein, the general once in charge of the German Army. She is 22 years old.
